Foss Security is seeking a skilled and dedicated Security Technician to join our team. As a Security Technician, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining security systems for our clients. You will collaborate with the team to ensure the effective implementation and operation of security solutions.
Key Roles:
- Installation and Termination: Carry out the installation and termination of various security equipment, such as cameras, access control systems, alarms, and other relevant devices.
- System Validation and Issue Resolution: Perform thorough system testing and troubleshooting to guarantee seamless operation and address any potential problems encountered in security systems.
- Configuration of equipment and devices: Customize and set up security devices and equipment to align with client needs and specified standards.
- Recording and Reporting: Ensure precise documentation of installations, configurations, and service reports. Generate reports to convey project status and provide clients with essential reference materials.

- Work steadily, safely, and strive for efficiency on every project, delivering high-quality results within project timelines.
- Maintain company vehicles and tools, ensuring regular maintenance, proper inventory management, and cleanliness.
- Utilize the Fleetmatics system as instructed, updating job notes, and making necessary calls while a passenger is in the vehicle.
- Drive company vehicles responsibly and safely in the community, limiting usage to work-related purposes only.
- Utilize the Fleetmatics system daily, reviewing previous job notes/emails, and addressing any outstanding items before returning to a site.
- Ensure completion details are accurately entered into the Fleetmatics system for each project.
- Complete projects neatly and professionally, adhering to Foss or manufacturer specifications and utilizing the best of your technical abilities.
- Properly label and document cables, prints, and project materials, protecting them and storing them in designated locations.
- Assist in project scheduling, notifying sales/project management 30-60 minutes before completing a job, enabling them to schedule additional projects efficiently.
- Collaborate with sales/project management on project-related questions, while taking responsibility for project completion, training, and paperwork.
